I believe we can achieve anything we set our minds to and that developing new skills will help us make it happen.
Hello Lovely Friend. I’m Katrinah, web developer, branding strategist, certified yoga teacher, student of Ayurveda, kombucha lover, entrepreneur.
I teach wellness entrepreneurs vital online marketing skills so that you can shortcut the steep business building learning curve and grow a thriving wellness business – with ease and flow.
I started building websites for friends and nonprofits using Dreamweaver back in 2003. Building websites was a lot of fun: I enjoyed helping my friends bring their ideas to life online and market their projects. At the same time, I had a lot of fun teaching myself how to code and tapping into my creative side. With each website launch you see your time, energy and creativity come to life in a tangible way. It’s a great feeling!
For the next seven years I continued to build websites for fun while working at a corporate job during the day. I was grateful for my job, it enabled me to pay my bills. But I knew in my heart there was something else I should be doing.
The only problem: I couldn’t figure out what that “thing” was that I was supposed to do. I remember feeling so frustrated, wanting more than anything to “get started” on my dream calling. Without a clear direction though I was at a standstill. How can you move forward when you don’t know which direction to go?
At about this time I came across Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford commencement speech. I must have listened to this talk at least a hundred times for inspiration as I tried to figure out the next step. Meanwhile, I kept developing my web skills and attended as many startup, social media and WordPress meetups as I could find in San Francisco where I was living at the time.
I learned about WordPress at one of these meetups and quickly adopted it when I discovered how much easier it was as a tool to create websites. Ironically, when the economy took a downturn, I started my web business out of necessity when I couldn’t find a job. In the process, I learned that life can truly work in unexpected ways. After spending years trying to find my true north, I discovered it unexpectedly by building my own business.
As my business has evolved, I’ve incorporated other areas of interest – notably wellness, yoga and Ayurveda – into my business as well.
My mission is to empower wellness entrepreneurs like you with the online marketing and tech skills you need to thrive.
Let’s get started,
Do what you love.
You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle. ─ Steve Jobs
